Salary: £32,578 - £37,563 per annum (pro rata for part time)
Hours: Full Time, 37 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
This role is open to full time, part time, and job share applications, all of which will be assessed equally.

About the Team
The ICT, Programmes and Information Governance team is a multidisciplinary team responsible for the management and delivery of the organisation’s ICT services and programme governance, as well as helping to maintain data protection compliance under UK GDPR and The Data Protection Act 2018.
About the role
In this role, you will work closely with, and report to, the Information Governance Officer (IGO).
Responsibilities will include:
- Coordination of responses to Freedom of Information and Environmental Information Regulations requests
- Handling of all aspects of Data Subject Access Requests including the redaction of third-party data
- Being the first point of contact for internal and external customers in respect to all aspects of data rights handling
You will be an essential part of our delivery of Information Governance services and our ability to ensure full compliance with UK GDPR and The Data Protection Act 2018.
You will help maintain information governance records to support compliance and promote good practice around data handling across the organisation. You will have the opportunity to support the wider team in key IT projects and change management programmes.
About you
We are looking for an experienced administrative professional, with excellent attention to detail and an eagerness to support organisational development.
To be successful, you will:
- Have experience of working within a complex administrative, compliance, governance, legal, ICT or information governance environment
- Possess experience in administering processes that are governed by legislation, regulation, policy or statutory timescales
- Pay particular attention to detail to support the maintenance of accurate records, databases, registers or case management systems
- Have experience of working with confidential and sensitive information
- Display effective communication skills and ability to communicate complex information and advice to stakeholders at all levels
- Possess experience of working with competing and tight deadlines and managing these using organisational skills
- Have strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams.
- Ideally have a working knowledge of Local Government and related regulations informing information governance and data protection
- Be able to analyse and handle confidential information, monitor risks and identify potential non-compliance
- Be educated to at least A-level or equivalent standard
- Possess, or be willing to work towards, an Information Governance, Data Protection or Records Management qualification
