Information Security Analyst

Protect the systems that help protect the nation. Cyber threats never stand still, and neither do we. We're looking for an Information Security Analyst to join NHS Shared Business Services (NHS SBS), playing a critical role in safeguarding the technology, systems and data that support NHS organisations across the UK.

This is an opportunity to make a real impact in a purpose-driven organisation, helping strengthen cyber resilience, tackle emerging threats and protect services relied upon by millions every day.

Working within a collaborative and forward-thinking security team, you'll investigate incidents, identify vulnerabilities, enhance security controls and help shape the future of our cyber security capability.

Hybrid with occasional meetings in Leeds OR Southampton.

You must be eligible for SC Clearance.

What you'll be doing:

  • Protect critical infrastructure, networks, systems and data from evolving cyber threats.
  • Monitor security tools and platforms to identify suspicious activity and potential attacks.
  • Investigate security incidents, alerts and potential breaches.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and drive remediation activities.
  • Manage and monitor Identity & Access Management (IAM) controls, identifying inappropriate access or privilege misuse.
  • Research emerging threats and recommend proactive improvements to strengthen our security posture.
  • Evaluate and implement new security technologies and solutions.
  • Produce insightful reports and security updates for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Support internal and external security audits.
  • Respond to phishing campaigns and social engineering threats.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
