Information Security Analyst (GRC)

£45,000–£50,000 · Permanent · Full-time · London-based

Bimo Imihgar Ltd is recruiting on behalf of a large organisation in the transport sector for an Information Security Analyst to join its cyber security team, reporting to the Head of Cyber Security.

The Role

You'll support the organisation's security governance, risk and compliance work across a large, operationally complex business. The work includes:

  • Vulnerability management and tracking remediation with system owners
  • Security risk assessments, control reviews and maintaining the risk register
  • Collecting audit evidence for ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus and PCI DSS
  • Supplier security assessments and due diligence
  • DPIAs, data protection support and breach triage under UK GDPR
  • Maintaining security policies and standards
  • Security awareness activities and phishing simulations

What You'll Need

  • At least two years' practical experience in information security, cyber security, GRC or a related role
  • Experience interpreting vulnerability scan results, CVEs, CVSS ratings and OWASP risks, and tracking remediation
  • Practical experience of risk assessments, control reviews, compliance monitoring and audit evidence collection
  • Working knowledge of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, including DPIAs, data breaches and data subject rights
  • Awareness of ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework and Cyber Essentials
  • Strong analytical, communication and organisational skills

Desirable

  • ISC2 CGRC, CompTIA Security+ or another relevant GRC, audit or privacy certification (or evidence of working towards one)
  • Experience in transport, critical services or another operationally complex environment

Salary and Working Pattern

  • £45,000–£50,000 base salary, depending on experience
  • 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • London-based with occasional travel to other UK and Ireland sites
  • Office/hybrid pattern and benefits to be confirmed
