Are you a graduate with an interest in information security, data protection, governance and cyber security? We are seeking an Information Security and Compliance Graduate to join our Information Management Unit at Nottinghamshire Police.

๐Ÿš€ What you'll do

  • Support the development and implementation of information security policies, standards and procedures.
  • Assist with compliance monitoring activities to ensure adherence to security standards and legislation.
  • Help deliver information security awareness campaigns and educational content across the Force.
  • Support the administration and monitoring of Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
  • Assist with the management and investigation of information security incidents.
  • Support the Force's security assessment process, maintaining records and tracking actions.
  • Contribute to the interpretation and implementation of National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and government guidance.
  • Research emerging technologies, information governance trends and developments in artificial intelligence.
  • Work closely with Information Services and colleagues across the organisation to support cyber and IT security initiatives.

  • A degree in a relevant discipline.
  • An interest in information security, cyber security, compliance or information governance.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to analyse information and manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships and collaborate with colleagues at all levels.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
