Job Role

Facilitate and assist in conducting, documenting, and monitoring security /risk assessments for new and existing technologies, systems, and vendor contracts. Assist the line manager as both the first and second-line support for the SBI staff. Liaise with offshore team and external 3rd party vendors wherever required.

Job Responsibility

  • Maintain the risk register(s), track identified vulnerabilities, threats, and mitigation plans.
  • Maintain the Information Security/Cyber Security related policies and procedures and ensure timely review.
  • Ensure conduct of security assessments – VA/PT/IEHRT/CSR etc. as guided by IS/CS Policies.
  • Monitor and ensure implementation of SCD in coordination with the Infra team.
  • Coordinate with offshore team for FAR related matters.
  • Assist with internal and external audits/security assessments, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Prepare risk assessment reports and key risk indicator (KRI) dashboards.
  • Attend to the Security Incidents raised by ISD Vertical and ensure timely closure.
  • Ensure cyber security/info security maturity of the organization at the desired level.
  • Ensure timely conduct of ISSC, related documentation and reporting.
  • Support the development and delivery of employee security awareness training.
  • Review vendor questionnaires and security documentation to assess risks related to third-party services.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of internal security controls and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with Information Security Guidelines for Foreign Offices and Subsidiaries
  • Ad hoc projects and tasks related to Systems Department, as allocated by the Head of Department.

Competency

  • Experience in Information security and cyber security risk management
  • Fundamental understanding of networking protocols, operating systems, and cloud platforms.
  • Familiarity with risk management frameworks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel for data analysis).
  • Practical experience in cyber risk management preferred.

  • Offshore team for resolution of security, FAR related issues

Reporting Relationship

  • Assistant Manager will report to COO under dotted line relationship with Head Systems.

Person Specification

  • Always ready and keen on learning new tasks.
  • Prioritize the issues for effective resolution.
  • Ready to work out-of-office hours and holiday as need may arise for business exigencies.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical risks to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Follow Line manager instructions which are in the interest of Bank.
  • Provide logical reasoning to accomplish assigned task.
