Contract Type: Temporary to 14 February 2027

Salary: Grade F Salary A GBP 37,280 per annum (pay award pending)

Location: Joint Training Centre

Hours: 37 hours per week, however you may occasionally need to work beyond normal office hours. Agile working arrangements can be discussed with the successful candidate.

Closing date: midnight on 10 August 2026

What You'll Do

  • Inspire and equip colleagues by delivering our digital skills training plan.
  • Welcome new starters and support their success through engaging induction, onboarding, and operational readiness sessions.
  • Champion our peer-led Digital Champions Network, helping to foster collaborative digital learning.
  • Partner with departments and stations to address IT training needs, including tailoring solutions for unique requests.
  • Assess training needs and measure the impact of your work to ensure we're always improving.
  • Design and refresh engaging e-learning materials.
  • Get involved in ICT projects and drive digital transformation initiatives.

There will be a requirement for some travel for which a pool car will be provided.

Required Qualifications And Experience

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following qualifications and experience:

  • Level 3 qualification in education and training or equivalent or demonstrable experience in a training environment
  • Level 3 qualification in assessing vocational achievement or equivalent (this is a desirable qualification)
  • Level 4 qualification in ICT or equivalent
  • Microsoft Office Qualification
  • Training design, delivery and methods e.g. classroom, e-learning, virtually
  • Training evaluation and measuring the effectiveness of training
  • How information systems and technology, in particular training in this area supports wider organisational objectives
  • E-Learning platform monitoring and development
  • Learning styles and learning needs
  • Extensive use of working with ICT and systems in a customer service/training environment, particularly with Microsoft products
