Job Title: IT Warehouse Subject Matter Expert (SME)

About the Role
The IT Warehouse SME is responsible for overseeing end-to-end depot and warehouse operations, ensuring operational excellence, inventory accuracy, compliance with organizational and client standards, while also providing technical support for IT hardware throughout its lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end depot and warehouse operations ensuring SLA adherence and operational efficiency.
- Oversee IT asset lifecycle management including receiving, staging, configuration, shipping, and disposal.
- Supervise inbound/outbound logistics, storage optimization, and quality control processes.
- Maintain accurate asset records in ERP, WMS, and ticketing systems.
- Serve as primary client-facing contact for depot operations and present performance reports.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, and service delivery managers to resolve escalations.
- Implement ISO, ITAD, and compliance best practices for security and data handling.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance depot performance and customer satisfaction.
- Perform hardware diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair coordination, and functional testing for desktops, laptops, servers, printers, and networking devices.
- Install, image, configure, upgrade, and reimage Windows/macOS devices using SCCM, Intune, Autopilot, MDT, or equivalent tools.
- Support IMACD (Install, Move, Add, Change, Dispose) activities and asset refresh projects.
- Perform BIOS, firmware, and driver updates, burn-in testing, and quality validation before dispatch.
- Troubleshoot hardware failures and coordinate OEM warranty/RMA cases.
- Provide remote hands support for network devices, servers, and data center equipment as required.
- Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, knowledge base articles, and asset configuration records.

Required Skills & Experience
- IT hardware handling (servers, laptops, desktops, printers, networking devices)
- Hardware diagnostics and troubleshooting
- OS deployment and imaging (Windows/macOS)
- SCCM, Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, MDT knowledge
- Basic networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, switches, routers, firewalls)
- ERP/WMS systems proficiency
- Inventory management & reporting tools
- Depot workflow management (inbound/outbound logistics)
- SLA management & compliance standards
- Client communication & presentation skills
- Authorized to make operational decisions regarding depot workflows, inventory control, technical issue resolution, process improvements, and escalation handling.
- Handles moderate to complex operational and technical challenges involving logistics coordination, hardware failures, inventory discrepancies, SLA risks, and client escalations.
- Engages with clients, depot staff, logistics vendors, OEM vendors, service delivery managers, and senior leadership.
