Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Information Technology Asset Manager role based in London. The Information Technology Asset Manager will oversee the lifecycle of IT hardware and software assets, including procurement, inventory management, usage tracking, and retirement. The role involves maintaining accurate asset records, ensuring compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements, and optimizing asset utilization and cost efficiency. The individual will collaborate with IT, finance, procurement, and vendor management teams to support audits, implement asset management policies, and drive process improvements. The Information Technology Asset Manager will also monitor asset risks, prepare regular reports and metrics, and contribute to technology planning and budgeting activities.

Qualifications

- Strong experience in IT asset management, including hardware and software lifecycle planning, inventory control, and asset tracking.
- Knowledge of software licensing, vendor contracts, and regulatory or compliance requirements related to IT assets.
- Proficiency with IT asset management tools, configuration management databases (CMDB), and related reporting systems.
- Ability to analyze asset data, prepare accurate reports, and identify opportunities for cost optimization and process improvement.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with IT, finance, procurement, vendors, and auditors.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in financial services or a large, regulated organization is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, Certified IT Asset Manager/ITAM) are an advantage.
