Digital Workplace Business Partner (Microsoft 365 & Power Platform)
Contract – 6 months’ FTC OR Day Rate (inside IR35) Competitive salary OR day rate
A leading financial services organisation is looking for an IT Business Partner to join a newly formed applications team within its wealth management business. The team was set up to help the business build new technology services as it grows, and this role sits right at the centre of that work.
You'll be the go-to technology person for the business: the one people come to when something needs fixing, improving or rethinking. It's a hands-on role that mixes business partnering, application ownership and a good amount of project and analysis work.
What you'll be doing
You'll be the business's Microsoft 365 expert, covering SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive and the Power Platform. That means helping people get real value from the tools they already have and working with the central IT function to keep things aligned with best practice.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
- Build strong relationships across the business, spot opportunities to improve how people work, and suggest practical technology changes.
- Be the escalation point for IT issues that can't be resolved through the usual support channels.
- Own a portfolio of business applications from start to finish: requirements, support arrangements, documentation, governance and eventually decommission.
- Ensure support is fit for purpose, whether it's delivered in-house or by third parties, and represent the business at IT governance forums.
- Run smaller projects end to end as both project manager and business analyst, and produce an annual licence review so the business isn't paying for more, or less, than it needs.
What we're looking for
- Experience as an IT Business Partner, Business Relationship Manager, Application Owner or similar, working closely with business teams to deliver technology.
- Strong, practical knowledge of Microsoft 365 and the Power Platform.
- Experience in financial services, ideally wealth management or private banking.
- Hands-on application ownership, including support models, documentation and governance.
- Project management and business analysis experience, ideally in a regulated environment.
- Comfortable turning loosely defined business needs into workable solutions.
- Confident communicating with everyone from end users to senior leaders.
