IT Delivery Manager

Location: London

Salary: £50,000 - £75,000 + 5-10% bonus + DV bonus where applicable

Working model: Hybrid

An excellent opportunity to join a leading professional services organisation supporting major Defence & National Security programmes across the UK.

This role is suited to an experienced IT or technology delivery professional who enjoys working on complex programmes, bringing structure to challenging environments and coordinating technical, business and delivery teams to achieve clear outcomes.

You will work across major technology-enabled transformation programmes, with exposure to senior stakeholders, complex delivery environments and programmes where effective governance, planning and execution are critical.

The role

You will take responsibility for delivery across projects and workstreams, helping clients maintain control of scope, budgets, risks, dependencies and overall programme performance. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing delivery across complex technology and transformation programmes
  • Coordinating technical, business and delivery teams across multiple workstreams
  • Supporting programme mobilisation, delivery strategy and governance
  • Managing plans, risks, issues, dependencies and change throughout the delivery lifecycle
  • Monitoring programme performance, financial controls and delivery milestones
  • Producing clear reporting and analysis for senior stakeholders
  • Supporting PMO and programme controls activity where required
  • Working with suppliers and stakeholders to manage commercial and delivery considerations
  • Contributing to continuous improvements in delivery methods, governance and processes
  • Building effective relationships with clients and internal teams
  • Supporting bids, proposals and the development of new client opportunities

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience delivering technology-enabled projects, programmes or major workstreams
  • Experience within Defence, Security or Justice environments
  • Strong understanding of programme governance, planning, risk, financial controls and stakeholder management
  • Experience working across technical and non-technical teams
  • Commercial awareness, including understanding of suppliers, delivery risk and business cases
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders
  • A structured and analytical approach to solving complex delivery challenges
  • Experience working in fast-paced, multidisciplinary environments
  • A proactive approach with the ability to manage competing priorities

Experience across areas such as project or programme management, product delivery, Agile delivery, PMO, DevOps or digital transformation would also be beneficial.

Security requirement

Applicants must currently hold Active SC clearance. DV clearance may be relevant to certain assignments and would attract an additional DV bonus where applicable.
