Role: Senior Sales Engineer - Data Centre Connectivity (Design and Estimation)
Location: Central London
Salary: £75,000 - £85,000 + benefits
Job Type: Permanent / Full Time / On-site
We are working with a leading data centre infrastructure and connectivity specialist delivering complex projects across the UK and internationally.
Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Senior Sales Engineer to support the development of technical and commercial solutions across structured cabling, fibre and wider data centre connectivity projects.
This role will sit between sales, design and project delivery, taking client requirements and turning them into technically compliant, commercially competitive solutions.
What you'll be doing
- Developing structured cabling and connectivity solutions for data centre projects
- Reviewing client specifications, drawings and tender documentation
- Producing technical proposals, Bills of Materials and cost estimates
- Supporting bids, tenders and client presentations
- Working with manufacturers and suppliers to obtain pricing and technical information
- Identifying project risks, opportunities and value engineering options
- Working closely with sales, commercial, design and operational teams
- Attending client meetings, technical reviews and tender clarifications
- Supporting successful bid handovers into the delivery team
- Providing technical support throughout the sales and project lifecycle

What we're looking for
- Strong experience within structured cabling, ICT infrastructure or data centre connectivity
- Good knowledge of fibre and copper cabling systems
- Experience within a Sales Engineer, Pre-Sales, Design, Estimating or similar technical role
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings
- Experience producing BoMs, technical proposals and project costings
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project margins
- Confident working with clients, suppliers and internal project teams
- Previous hyperscale or large data centre experience would be highly advantageous
