IT Engineer | Central London
Up to £36,000 + Excellent Benefits

Note: Previous experience working within the education sector, particularly within a private education environment, or experience working for an IT MSP specialising in education is Highly desirable.

Are you an experienced IT Engineer looking for a varied role within a leading private education environment?

A well-established private education organisation is looking for an enthusiastic IT Engineer to provide hands-on technical support across multiple sites, maintain core infrastructure and support ongoing technology projects.

As an IT Engineer, you will provide 1st and 2nd line support while helping maintain and improve the wider IT estate. You will work closely with staff, stakeholders, and external technology partners to ensure systems remain secure, reliable, and fit for purpose.

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support across multiple sites
  • Support Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP
  • Administer Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, and Intune
  • Support Google Workspace and end-user devices across Windows, macOS, and mobile
  • Maintain networking, wireless, and security infrastructure
  • Support classroom, meeting room, and AV technology
  • Assist with IT projects, upgrades, and continuous improvement
  • Provide user training and technical guidance
  • Support suppliers, licensing, and service agreements

Skills & Experience

To be successful as an IT Engineer, you should have:

  • Previous experience in IT support, infrastructure, or an IT Engineer role
  • Strong Microsoft 365 administration experience
  • Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and networking
  • Experience supporting Windows and Apple devices
  • Exposure to Intune, Jamf, or other MDM solutions
  • Knowledge of firewalls and cybersecurity
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
