IT Field Engineer
Location:
Central London (Farringdon/Chancery Lane)
Salary:
£40,000 – £45,000 per annum, DOE
Job type:
Permanent, Full-time, Hybrid (Client Sites or IOIT Office, WFH 1 day per week)

WE WANT YOU TO:

- Collaborate closely with technical leads, account managers, and other tech teams to deliver a unified IT vision.
YOUR CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as an ambassador for IOIT, developing strong relationships built on trusted professional guidance
- Provide onsite IT support to clients (generally within walking distance of Instant On IT’s office, with some UK travel).
- Travel to client sites, generally within walking distance of our Farringdon office in zone 1, however, as we look after clients across the UK and Worldwide, some further travel may be required.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and cloud platforms.
- Carry out scheduled and ad-hoc site visits, ensuring client systems are secure, up-to-date, and aligned with best practices.
- Work with technical leads to implement IT strategies that future-proof client environments.
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to our knowledge base.
- Deliver excellent customer service through professional, timely, and empathetic interactions.
- Identify opportunities for service improvement and share feedback with the wider team.
- Stay current with Microsoft certifications and emerging technologies.

WHO YOU ARE:
- Tech-savvy with proven Windows & Mac troubleshooting experience
- Knowledgeable about Office 365, with experience supporting Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, and Intune.
- Experienced with professional IT Support, both onsite and remote
- Proficient in supporting and troubleshooting Windows 10 & 11 and Mac devices.
- Exposure to, and understanding of, core Windows server elements including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP.
- Understanding of, and ability to, troubleshoot and configure networking technologies such as WIFI, Firewalls & Routers
- Exposure to Azure Virtual Desktops desirable
- Understanding of Multi Factor, Conditional Access, Compliance Policies
- Understanding of email routing and management – 3rd party spam filters. Mail tracing.
- Skilled in resolving printer issues and collaborating with 3rd party vendors.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates should have one of the following certifications, or be working towards one with provable experience:
- Microsoft Certifications, particularly cloud ones such as MD-102 and MS-700
- CompTIA A+, Network+
