IT Infrastructure Engineer
12 month fixed term contract (potential to go permanent)
£40,000–£45,000
Can be based in Immingham, Grays or London
We’re recruiting for an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to join a global organisation on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This is a hands-on infrastructure role with responsibility for maintaining and developing secure, reliable IT and OT environments, supporting infrastructure projects and providing 3rd-line technical escalation.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage enterprise infrastructure across networks, servers, cloud, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, Active Directory and related services.
- Support local and global infrastructure projects from delivery through to handover.
- Act as a 3rd-line escalation point for complex technical issues.
- Lead and coordinate incidents, problems and infrastructure changes.
- Support cyber security, resilience, backup and disaster recovery initiatives.
- Manage infrastructure suppliers, lifecycle planning, assets and technical documentation.
- Identify opportunities for improvement, automation and service optimisation.
- Work closely with internal teams, suppliers and business stakeholders.

About you:
You’ll have strong experience in IT infrastructure engineering, ideally within a complex enterprise environment. You’ll be confident troubleshooting technical issues, delivering infrastructure projects and working across cloud, on-premise, network and server technologies. Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills are essential, alongside a proactive approach to problem solving. Some travel may be required.
