About the Company

Design ID is an award-winning, design-led engineering consultancy delivering innovative civil, structural and infrastructure solutions across the UK and Ireland. Guided by our ethos, Think | Design | Engineer, we combine creative thinking, technical excellence and practical delivery to support clients from concept through to construction. Our multi-disciplinary teams work across a diverse range of sectors, providing engineering design, value engineering, sustainability-focused solutions, digital design and project delivery services for developers, contractors and public sector clients. With a reputation built on collaboration, quality and trusted relationships, we are committed to creating places and infrastructure that positively impact communities and the built environment.

About the Role

We are looking for an IT Infrastructure Engineer to take ownership of the day-to-day IT function across the business. This is a hands-on, standalone role with genuine scope to shape how we work — you will keep our systems secure and reliable, support our engineering teams, and have the freedom to introduce automation and smarter processes where you see the opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end IT service delivery, handling 1st to 3rd line support and managing escalation to third-party providers where required
  • Administer and maintain our cloud and hybrid infrastructure — Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune and SharePoint
  • Manage the full device lifecycle: procurement, laptop and PC builds, provisioning, and mobile device management across iOS and Windows
  • Handle user onboarding and offboarding, access control and device compliance
  • Maintain our security posture — MFA, endpoint protection, email filtering, patching and vulnerability management
  • Support Cyber Essentials and ISO 27001 compliance, including documentation, infrastructure mapping and evidence gathering
  • Own backup and disaster recovery planning, and test it regularly
  • Coordinate external vendors and suppliers, and manage service relationships
  • Administer business systems and produce regular reporting
  • Identify and deliver improvements through automation and better process design

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
