About this opportunity
As an ICT Infrastructure Engineer at Westmorland and Furness Council, you will play a crucial role in supporting and developing all aspects of our ICT Infrastructure, including networking, firewalls, data centres and cloud environments. This role is responsible for the planning, development, implementation, testing, supporting and optimising ICT infrastructure systems and services, taking responsibility for overall operational readiness of these systems and services. Covering both on premise and cloud environments.
In this dynamic role, you will have the opportunity to implement best practices in infrastructure support and development, develop and maintain strong relationships with various teams, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery. Your experience and technical skills will be vital in aligning our ICT infrastructure with the strategic goals of Westmorland and Furness Council, ultimately contributing to the effective operation of our community services.

Westmorland and Furness Council are looking for a skilled ICT Infrastructure Engineer, to support, develop and secure our ICT Infrastructure. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality ICT Infrastructure across the organisation and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
