Role Description

The Information Technology Intern role at ConsultEQ is a full-time remote position focused on supporting day-to-day IT operations and learning core technical skills. The intern will assist with basic network administration tasks, monitor system performance, and help maintain secure and reliable connectivity.

  • Troubleshooting technical issues
  • Responding to internal support requests
  • Documenting solutions
  • Escalating complex problems to senior team members as needed

The intern will also contribute to routine network security checks, updates, and access management, while providing clear and courteous customer service to colleagues and clients. Throughout the internship, the individual will receive guidance from experienced IT professionals and gain exposure to industry-standard tools, processes, and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Foundational knowledge of Information Technology concepts and a strong interest in developing technical skills.
  • Basic understanding of Network Administration and Network Security principles, or coursework/experience in these areas.
  • Ability to perform Troubleshooting of hardware, software, and connectivity issues using a structured, logical approach.
  • Customer Service skills that support clear communication, patience, and professionalism in assisting users.
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or certification in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Comfort working in a remote environment, with reliable internet access and strong time-management skills.
  • Willingness to learn, ask questions, follow documented procedures, and adapt to new tools and technologies.
  • Familiarity with common operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS, Linux) and basic office productivity tools is beneficial.
