Senior IT Internal Auditor
Role profile:
We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Internal Auditor to join the Internal Audit function of a leading organisation. The role will be responsible for delivering high-quality, risk-based IT and technology audits across the business, providing independent assurance over the effectiveness of technology controls, systems, processes and governance.
Working closely with senior stakeholders across Technology, Cyber Security, Data, Risk and the wider business, you will play an important role in identifying emerging technology risks and providing practical recommendations that strengthen the organisation's control environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end IT internal audits, from planning and risk assessment through to fieldwork, reporting and follow-up.
- Develop audit scopes, objectives and testing programmes aligned to the organisation's key technology risks.
- Assess the design and operating effectiveness of IT general controls (ITGCs), including:
- Access management
- Change management
- IT operations
- Backup and recovery
- System development
- Incident management
- Infrastructure controls
- Undertake audits across areas such as cyber security, cloud technology, data governance, IT resilience, third-party technology risk and emerging technologies.
- Evaluate technology governance frameworks, policies, procedures and risk management arrangements.
- Identify control weaknesses, assess associated risks and develop practical, commercially focused recommendations.
- Produce high-quality audit reports and communicate findings clearly to senior management.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across IT, Technology, Risk, Compliance and the wider business.
