About You.

Are you an IT Manager who's looking for a new challenge? Are you comfortable working to a 3rd line technical level? Does the idea of joining a company who are undergoing a genuinely exciting period of change and growth appeal?

About the Role.

As our new IT Manager, you'll help elevate our entire technology experience. You will lead our talented IT Operations team, shaping our software, hardware, infrastructure, and cloud systems to keep our business running smoothly and securely.

This position is perfect for a technical expert who loves solving complex puzzles and translates business challenges into smart, practical tech solutions.

What You’ll Do.

  • Provide hands-on technology support, taking ownership of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line support for software, networks, hardware, and telephony.
  • Oversee incident and problem management (both internally and via 3rd parties) to ensure critical systems remain highly available.
  • Strictly adhere to and promote company GDPR and information security policies.
  • Lead, develop, manage, and coach the IT team to build a high-performing department.
  • Identify technology gaps, champion new solutions, and implement continuous improvements to the technology development lifecycle.
  • Propose and implement new technologies that align with the company’s broader strategic goals.
  • Ensure the resilience, availability, and security of the IT estate in strict compliance with ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials frameworks.
  • Collaborate with the Cyber and Information Security Manager to identify risks, execute mitigations, and maintain compliance.
  • Draft, update, and implement company-wide IT policies and operational procedures.
  • Partner with the Transformation team and 3rd-party suppliers to ensure project changes and bug fixes meet SLA requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with critical vendors to maximise value, service delivery, and system availability.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
