Job Description
Job Title: IT Manager
Reporting to: CTO
Location: Swansea/hybrid
Subordinates: Systems team (3 technical staff)
Job Purpose:
To be accountable for the whole technology function ensuring that it is providing the right business benefit. Lead the Systems team, work with key stakeholders across the business and with third party suppliers to both maintain the expected technology service levels and to drive technology change that meets strategic objectives of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Technology
- Directly manage a variety of technology services including but not limited to: cloud SaaS/IaaS services (Azure), elements of an ERP platform (MS Dynamics BC), data architecture and reporting (MS Fabric/Power BI) and MS DevOps
- Working with a number of IT Third-parties manage a variety of technology services including but not limited to: end user devices and networking, ERP platform (MS Dynamics BC) and web platforms
User Support & Service Delivery
- Ensure timely and effective technical support for staff
- Ensure expected service levels across all technologies are maintained

Team leadership
- Lead, mentor and develop the Systems team fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability
- Manage prioritisation, training and performance reviews
Project Delivery
- Provide ownership, coordination and leadership for project change across the business
Cyber Security and compliance
- Working with the Operations Lead and IT Third-parties, implement and enforce security policies, risk management practices and data protection standards
- Ensure the technology is monitored for vulnerabilities and coordinate incident responses
Vendor and Budget
- Actively manage relationships with IT Third-parties
- TBC (future) – be responsible for management and planning of delegated IT budget
Strategic
- Contributes towards and executes the business’ technology strategy aligned with business objectives
- Identifies opportunities for technology improvements and digital transformation with horizon scanning

Skills Profile:
- Broad technical skills to provide leadership for problem resolution
- Excellent relationship management skills (staff and third-party)
- Well organised and good time management
- Experience with Retail sector is desirable
Personal Profile:
- Self-motivated, proactive and fosters drive and motivation in others
- Able to balance the need of when to provide acute attention to detail and when to delegate work to others
- Able to work under pressure in a fast-moving environment
Hours Of Work:
- Core hours: Monday-Friday 9:00-17:30 (flexible/negotiable)
- Full Time (40 hours/week) or Part time (32 hours/week)
