Role: IT Manager
Location: South Manchester
Salary: £50,000–£60,000
Work Pattern: Office Based
The company is looking for an IT Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day IT function, balancing hands-on technical work with the management and development of a small team. This is a practical role suited to someone who enjoys being involved technically while also taking responsibility for the wider IT operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support a small IT team.
- Provide hands-on technical support across the business.
- Oversee day-to-day IT infrastructure, systems and services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical issues.
- Manage Microsoft 365, Azure and Windows environments.
- Support IT projects and improvements.
- Manage suppliers and third-party IT providers where required.
- Ensure systems are secure, reliable and well maintained.
- Mentor and develop members of the IT team.

Requirements:
- Previous experience in an IT Manager, IT Team Lead or Senior IT Support/Infrastructure position.
- Strong hands-on technical background.
- Experience managing or mentoring an IT team.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft technologies, particularly Microsoft 365 and Azure.
- Confident troubleshooting technical issues and managing escalations.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Comfortable being both hands-on technically and responsible for the team.
