IT Manager - Manchester

Manchester (Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days home)

Competitive Salary + Excellent Benefits

Are you an experienced IT Manager with a strong background in IT operations, infrastructure and information security?

Have you owned an ISO 27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS), led external audits and taken responsibility for maintaining certification? Do you have experience driving Cyber Essentials Plus certification and ensuring security best practices are embedded across the business?

If so, we'd love to hear from you.

Our client is looking for an experienced, hands-on IT Manager to lead their internal IT function while taking ownership of their information security and compliance framework. This is a true player-manager role where you'll combine technical expertise with leadership, managing a small IT team while remaining actively involved in the day-to-day running of the IT environment.

The Role

You'll oversee all aspects of internal IT operations, ensuring the business has a secure, reliable and well-managed technology environment. A key part of the role is taking ownership of the ISO 27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS), maintaining policies, controls and documentation, leading internal and external audits, and driving continuous improvement. You'll also own the annual Cyber Essentials Plus certification and work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure the organisation continues to meet the highest standards of information security.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
