Job Title: IT Manager

Location: Peterborough / Multi-site

Salary: £50,000 – £70,000

Benefits:

  • 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Additional holiday for long service
  • Company pension
  • Car / travel allowance where applicable

The Role

We’re supporting a privately owned business to appoint an IT Manager to take ownership of its technology function. This is a newly created role and a genuine opportunity to build and shape IT rather than simply inherit it.

The Business is establishing a standalone IT environment, creating the foundations needed to support multiple businesses today and as they continue to grow. You’ll have real ownership of the technology, from infrastructure and connectivity through to users, suppliers, security and future planning. This is a broad role that combines IT management, infrastructure, project delivery and hands-on technical involvement.

You’ll be the senior point of accountability for IT, working directly with senior management and having the freedom to make sensible decisions about how the function develops.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Genuine ownership of IT across a growing group
  • Opportunity to build and shape a standalone IT function
  • A chance to establish the right infrastructure and standards from the outset
  • A genuine mix of strategic planning, project work and hands-on technical involvement
  • Direct influence over technology, suppliers, security and IT investment
  • Opportunity to introduce practical automation and AI
  • Scope to build an IT team as the organisation grows
  • A role where your decisions will have a visible impact across the business

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
