IT Operations Manager

Norwich (Minimum 2 days onsite)
£55k-£60k

This is an opportunity for an experienced IT Operations professional to take a lead role across service desk, infrastructure and day-to-day technology operations. You'll be responsible for making sure services are well run, resilient and delivering what the organisation needs, while also having the influence to improve how IT operates.

Team management is a large part of this role, but it is much more than managing a service desk. You'll have responsibility for people, suppliers, service performance, budgets, major incidents and operational strategy, with plenty of scope to make meaningful improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop and push forward the IT Service Desk and Infrastructure teams
  • Own service performance, availability, capacity and continual improvement
  • Take the lead during major incidents and coordinate technical teams, suppliers and senior stakeholders
  • Manage operational budgets and identify investment requirements and risks
  • Develop and improve IT service management processes, standards and performance measures
  • Oversee business continuity, disaster recovery and operational resilience
  • Identify opportunities to improve service quality, efficiency, security and customer experience

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
