IT Operations Manager - Global Infrastructure - £75,000 + 10% bonus + £5,800 car allowance - West London - hybrid, typically 3 days per week

A major global organisation is looking for an experienced IT Operations Manager to take operational ownership of its global infrastructure services across multiple regions.

Reporting into the Head of Infrastructure & Operations, this role will oversee the delivery of Network, Cloud, Server, Storage and Database services within a predominantly outsourced managed-service environment.

The successful individual will combine strong infrastructure knowledge with excellent service management and vendor governance experience. They will be technically credible enough to challenge engineering and managed-service partners while being capable of translating technical performance, risk and service issues into clear business and executive-level communication.

This is an excellent opportunity for somebody who has progressed from an infrastructure or cloud engineering background into infrastructure operations and wants responsibility across a complex global technology estate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day operational delivery across global Network, Cloud/Server, Storage and Database services.
  • Manage and challenge third-party managed service providers against agreed SLAs, KPIs and service expectations.
  • Review technical and operational reporting from suppliers and translate findings into clear executive-level reporting.
  • Ensure infrastructure services meet expectations around availability, performance, capacity, security and resilience.
  • Lead Major Incident, Problem, Change and Service Level Management activities.
  • Coordinate multiple technical teams and suppliers during P1/P2 incidents and complex infrastructure changes.
  • Maintain effective operational governance through service reviews, escalations and continual improvement plans.
  • Work with business and technology stakeholders to translate infrastructure demand into appropriate technical requirements, templates and frameworks.
  • Support infrastructure projects and ensure new services transition successfully into BAU.
  • Identify opportunities to modernise legacy and on-premise infrastructure through cloud adoption and improved operating practices.
  • Maintain operational controls across access management, patching, backup/recovery, security and change.
  • Drive improvements across monitoring, automation, event management, reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Provide operational leadership across a global, multi-region infrastructure estate.
  • Work closely with infrastructure architects, engineers, regional technology teams and external delivery partners.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
