Technology Procurement & Vendor Manager – Birmingham

Location: Birmingham (Hybrid)
Salary: £75,000 - £85,000 + Bonus / Benefits

About Our Client

Our client is a major UK organisation with a substantial technology estate spanning cloud services, enterprise software, cyber security and digital transformation partners. They are strengthening their technology commercial function and are looking for an experienced Technology Procurement and Vendor Manager.

The Role

You will manage strategic technology suppliers and lead commercial activity across software, cloud and technology services. The role combines procurement, contract negotiation, supplier performance and cost optimisation.

  • Lead sourcing and procurement activity across technology categories.
  • Negotiate software, SaaS, cloud and professional-services contracts.
  • Manage strategic technology vendors and supplier relationships.
  • Identify opportunities for commercial savings and contract optimisation.
  • Support renewals, licensing reviews and demand planning.
  • Monitor supplier performance, risk and contractual obligations.
  • Work with IT, Security, Finance, Legal and Procurement stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate contract, renewal and vendor information.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in technology procurement, IT commercial management or vendor management.
  • Strong commercial negotiation and contract-management skills.
  • Experience with software licensing, SaaS or cloud agreements.
  • Understanding of major technology suppliers and enterprise procurement processes.
  • Strong analytical and cost-management capability.
  • Excellent stakeholder and supplier relationship management.
  • CIPS qualification is advantageous but not essential.
