Job Title

Reporting to the Head of Technology Procurement, you will own Technology procurement for Alter Domus, managing a significant portion of our €90M annual spend across Software and SaaS, Cloud and Infrastructure, IT and Managed Services, Telecoms, Hardware and Data/Market Data. You will set and execute category sourcing strategies, drive commercial value, and strengthen vendor relationships across Alter Domus. Working closely with the wider Procurement team, Technology leadership and stakeholders across the business, you will improve margin, optimise cost structures and elevate procurement maturity across Technology procurement.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Commercial Delivery

  • Lead end to end sourcing activity including spend and market analysis, RFP preparation, bid assessment, supplier negotiation and contract support, including complex, multi-year technology tenders.
  • Apply commercial acumen and negotiation skills to secure best total value and optimal total cost of ownership across licensing, subscription, consumption and managed service models.
  • Be comfortable and efficient in applying leverage in commercial negotiations with global software, cloud and IT services vendors.
  • Harness your expert knowledge of the technology supply market and the commercial models that exist – perpetual, subscription, consumption-based, outcome-based and blended resourcing – to ensure that Alter Domus has optimised commercial and vendor relationships.
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and the ability to make decisions with less than 100% data.
  • Implement a robust set of KPIs and measurement practices to ensure best-in-class supplier agreements, interacting with strategic technology suppliers and partners to ensure any issues are identified and tackled fast, while building proactive and positive supplier relationships to enhance their performance for the firm.
  • Ability to build categories and long-term strategic plans whilst also being able to deliver operationally. The role is a combination of strategic and operational.
  • Lead all elements of spend management for your categories, including strategic understanding of the technology supply market place, pricing and term negotiations, renewal and true-up management, preparation and analysis of bid proposals/packages, supplier selection, negotiation and communication with users across Alter Domus and the functions.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with key senior stakeholders across Technology, Risk, People, Finance, Legal and other global functions to understand requirements, influence and challenge demand, and deliver robust, transparent procurement processes.
  • Partner across all global functions to develop and implement optimal strategic sourcing strategies, as well as with the wider business to drive margin improvements while increasing the sophistication of our sourcing and procurement practices.
  • Build trusted, collaborative relationships across the organisation, acting as a knowledgeable and solutions-oriented business partner to Technology leadership in particular.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
