IT Procurement Manager – Software Procurement
Location: Fully Remote (UK)
Contract: 6 Months
Day Rate: £650 per day
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
I'm currently working with a leading Managed Services provider that is delivering a strategic technology programme for a major Financial Services organisation. They are looking to appoint an experienced IT Procurement Manager to support the procurement and commercial management of enterprise software agreements.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technology procurement professional who has a strong background in software procurement and vendor management, with the ability to build relationships across internal stakeholders and major enterprise software providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the procurement of enterprise software and technology services.
- Manage commercial negotiations with large software vendors to achieve the best possible outcomes.
- Act as the key liaison between the Financial Services client and software providers, ensuring commercial agreements deliver value for both parties.
- Work closely with technology, legal, finance and senior business stakeholders throughout the procurement lifecycle.
- Review and negotiate software licensing, renewals and commercial terms.
- Drive supplier performance and manage strategic vendor relationships.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimisation, risk reduction and commercial improvements.
- Ensure procurement activity complies with organisational policies and regulatory requirements.

Required Experience

- Proven experience as an IT Procurement Manager, Technology Procurement Manager or Software Procurement Manager.
- Extensive experience procuring enterprise software solutions.
- Strong commercial negotiation skills with large software vendors such as Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, IBM, Adobe, Salesforce, ServiceNow or similar enterprise suppliers.
- Experience working within large enterprise environments, ideally within Financial Services or other highly regulated industries.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior business leaders.
- Strong understanding of software licensing models, contract negotiations and supplier management.
- Experience balancing the commercial interests of both customers and suppliers to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes.
