Technology Category & Sourcing Manager
Location: Milton Keynes
Hybrid: ~12 days/month in office
A leading UK bank is undergoing an exciting technology-driven transformation, with innovation, collaboration and strategic thinking at the heart of its success. This is an opportunity to join a high-performing procurement function, playing a key role in delivering value across a complex, evolving supplier ecosystem. Working closely with technology and business stakeholders, you'll help define sourcing strategies, optimise supplier relationships, and support future growth.
The Role
You'll lead category management, sourcing and supplier management across a designated technology spend area — acting as a trusted advisor to stakeholders and developing sourcing strategies that deliver commercial value and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement multi-year technology sourcing strategies aligned to business objectives
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives from market engagement through to contract award
- Deliver sustainable cost savings and commercial value against procurement targets
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and influence decision-making across the organisation
- Monitor supplier performance against quality, service, compliance and cost expectations
- Support financial planning, forecasting and budgeting; track market and supplier trends

About You
Essential:
- Proven technology/IT category management and sourcing experience in a large, complex procurement environment
- Experience managing high-value contracts and strategic sourcing activity
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering measurable value
Desirable:
- Regulated industry background (financial services, utilities, telecoms, healthcare)
- CIPS qualification; degree in Business, Finance or Procurement
