ABOUT US
TwentyFour IT is a Microsoft-focused managed IT, cloud and cyber security provider for SME and enterprise clients.
Most of our clients are on fully managed service agreements, so we look after their IT from start to finish: users, devices, networks, cloud and security.
THE ROLE
You'll join our projects team and deliver the technical work that brings new clients onto our managed service and improves existing clients' environments.
You'll be supported by senior engineers who lead the design and planning. Your job is to carry out the build work accurately, test it properly and document it clearly so the service desk can support it from day one.
This role suits an experienced Project Engineer, or a strong 2nd line engineer ready to move into project work. It's hands-on and largely site-based. You'll regularly be onsite with clients and working away from home.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Client onboarding: deploying monitoring agents, rolling out the security stack, setting up users and devices, and recording sites, contacts and assets in our systems
- Microsoft 365 migrations: Exchange Online mailboxes, SharePoint and OneDrive data, Teams and file shares, including Purview PST imports
- Device deployment: building and enrolling Windows 10/11 devices through Intune and Autopilot, applying compliance and configuration policies, and running device refresh rollouts
- Identity and security: Entra ID users and groups, MFA and Conditional Access, and supporting rollouts of endpoint and application control tools
- Azure: supporting Azure Virtual Desktop builds and Azure resource deployments
- Networking: installing and configuring firewalls, switches and wireless access points under the direction of a senior engineer, and working with VLANs, VPNs and site links
- Infrastructure: Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Hyper-V, backup and print migration tasks
- Project tasks: working through assigned phases and tasks in our project system, logging time accurately, and raising risks or delays early
- Documentation: as-built notes, network diagrams, site documentation and handover notes for the service desk
- Site work: regular onsite work at client premises for installs, cutovers, migrations and go-live support, including overnight stays when a project needs it

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
