Digital & IT Project Manager - Energy Sector
Location: Bristol - Up to 2 days per week
Rate: £600 per day (Inside IR35)
Contract: Initial 6-month contract
Start Date: End of September
We're looking for an experienced Digital & IT Project Manager to join one of the UK's largest and most complex infrastructure programmes. This is an opportunity to deliver critical Digital & IT projects that support the construction and operational readiness of a major nuclear new build programme.
You'll lead the delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects spanning AI, infrastructure, cyber security, digital transformation, and enterprise applications, working across technical, architecture, business, and delivery teams to ensure successful outcomes.
The Role
As the Digital & IT Project Manager, you'll take ownership of projects from initiation through to delivery, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards. You'll coordinate technical and business stakeholders, manage governance and assurance activities, and provide clear reporting to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities include:
- Managing multiple Digital & IT projects across infrastructure, AI, and application delivery.
- Developing and maintaining project plans, RAID logs, financial trackers, and delivery documentation.
- Coordinating cross-functional teams including technical, architecture, business, and delivery functions.
- Managing project governance, reporting, and stakeholder communications.
- Identifying and managing risks, issues, dependencies, and change.
- Supporting solution assurance and ensuring alignment with technical architecture standards.
- Monitoring project budgets, resources, and delivery milestones.
- Driving successful implementation and business readiness activities.
About You
You'll be an experienced IT Project Manager with a strong track record of delivering complex technology projects within large enterprise environments.

You'll bring:
- Proven experience delivering Digital & IT projects from inception through implementation.
- Strong project planning and scheduling experience across complex programmes.
- Experience delivering infrastructure, cyber security, digital transformation, or enterprise application projects.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience managing project budgets, financial reporting, and governance.
- Strong knowledge of project delivery methodologies and organisational change.
- Experience using Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- A good understanding of enterprise IT environments including cloud, infrastructure, integration, and architecture governance.
Experience within highly regulated sectors such as Nuclear, Energy, Utilities, or Defence would be desirable.
