IT Project Manager – Aberdeen – Ref 2882

We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of business and technology projects within a complex enterprise environment. Working with stakeholders across a range of business functions, you'll coordinate project activities, manage delivery risks and ensure successful outcomes throughout the project lifecycle. Candidate Profile
We're seeking a proactive and delivery-focused Project Manager with experience managing complex projects in enterprise environments. You'll be comfortable working with a broad range of stakeholders, coordinating multiple activities simultaneously and maintaining effective governance throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess strong planning, communication and stakeholder management skills, together with a proven track record of delivering successful project outcomes within agreed timescales and budgets.
What you’ll do
- Lead project planning, scheduling, monitoring and reporting activities in line with established delivery frameworks and governance standards.
- Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, resource forecasts and delivery schedules.
- Manage project scope, risks, issues, dependencies and change throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate activities across business teams, technical specialists, third-party suppliers and project stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress against agreed objectives, budgets and timelines.
- Support project estimation activities, including budget planning and resource forecasting.
- Produce clear and concise project reporting for programme teams and senior stakeholders.
- Facilitate project meetings, workshops and governance forums.
- Ensure adherence to organisational policies, procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Track project performance through appropriate reporting and delivery metrics.
- Manage supplier engagement and delivery activities where required.
- Escalate risks, issues and delivery challenges appropriately and support resolution activities.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of project delivery processes and working practices.
- Support project teams in achieving delivery objectives and resolving operational challenges.

What you’ll bring
Essential
- Proven experience delivering complex IT projects within enterprise-scale environments.
- Strong project management experience across business and technology-focused initiatives.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent workstreams and priorities.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Experience managing project budgets, forecasts and resource plans.
- Strong understanding of project governance, risk management and reporting.
- Experience coordinating third-party suppliers and delivery partners.
- Ability to work effectively across both technical and business teams.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience working within Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery environments.
Desirable
- Exposure to large-scale business change, technology delivery or process improvement initiatives.
- Experience supporting organisational change and business improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
One or more of the following:
- PRINCE2 Practitioner
- PMP
- APM PMQ
- MSP
- Agile Practitioner Certification
