About the Role
We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to join an established project delivery team and take ownership of a range of medium-sized technology projects.
This is an ideal opportunity for a Project Manager who has already delivered IT projects and is looking to work across a varied technology landscape. You don't need to be a technical specialist, but you should have a genuine interest in technology and be comfortable working with technical teams, suppliers and stakeholders.
Projects will typically fall across infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, networks, and data & insight, giving you exposure to a broad range of technology initiatives.
You will generally manage around two projects at any one time, depending on their size and complexity, with project values ranging from approximately £100k to £3m.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of projects from initiation through to successful delivery.
- Manage project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks and issues.
- Track and forecast project budgets and costs.
- Produce regular project reporting and maintain accurate project documentation.
- Manage suppliers, delivery partners and contracts.
- Develop business cases and supporting project documentation.
- Facilitate technical design discussions and decision-making.
- Lead and facilitate Steering Groups, ensuring effective decision-making and governance.
- Manage project stage gates and escalate risks and issues where appropriate.
- Support procurement activity and commercial processes.
- Work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Ensure projects deliver against agreed objectives, timescales, budgets and governance requirements.
- Identify and manage opportunities to reduce risk through project delivery.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
