Elevation Recruitment Group's Technology & Transformation team has partnered with a major national business to appoint an experienced IT Project Manager at their head office.

If you're a project manager who thrives on owning delivery from the very first conversation, this one is worth a look. You won't be handed neatly packaged projects to administer - you'll pick up business change initiatives at concept stage, sit with the business to shape what's actually needed, and carry them all the way through planning, delivery, training, service transition and benefits realisation. The work is varied and rarely repeated: business change with technology underneath, spanning system configuration, process improvement and transformation across a large, multi-site organisation.

It's a lean, autonomous environment. You'll source and secure your own project resources, own your plans, and deal directly with senior stakeholders - presenting to and influencing leadership at the highest levels of the business. A light-touch PMO supports the bigger projects, but delivery sits firmly with you.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Day to day, you'll:

  • Run several concurrent business and technology change projects, each one end to end
  • Lead requirements gathering and business analysis with stakeholders right across the organisation
  • Own robust project plans, RAID logs and governance documentation
  • Manage budgets, suppliers and cross-functional resources
  • Deliver training, own service transition and put benefits measurement in place
  • Drive organisational change across a geographically dispersed business

You'll need to bring:

  • A track record of delivering multiple business change projects end to end, in-house within a private sector organisation - and the ability to operate at that level from day one
  • Genuine strength in project governance, documentation and senior stakeholder management within a structured environment
  • The confidence and credibility to influence, and where needed challenge, leadership independently
  • Comfort working with real autonomy in a self-serve delivery setting
  • A recognised project management qualification (APM, PMI or IPM preferred; strong PRINCE2 Practitioners considered)
  • Technology literacy and the ability to translate tech for a business audience, with a flexible, hybrid approach to methodology
  • Construction or housebuilding experience is a plus, but by no means essential

The process is quick: a 30-minute Teams call, then a single face-to-face interview on site, with fast decisions.

This is a strong move for a South Yorkshire-based project manager currently travelling to Leeds or Sheffield who wants a shorter commute, genuine end-to-end ownership and a direct line to senior leadership in a household-name business.
