An established organisation based in Glasgow is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead a significant business-critical systems migration and transformation project on a contract basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled project professional to take ownership of a large-scale technology implementation, guiding the organisation through the transition from its current platform to a new technology solution.

The successful candidate will oversee the full project lifecycle, from planning and solution selection through to implementation, data migration, testing, go-live and post-implementation support.

The Role

Working closely with senior stakeholders, internal teams and external technology providers, you will provide the leadership, governance and structure required to deliver a successful migration programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of a major systems migration and implementation project.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, resource requirements and dependencies.
  • Support the assessment and selection of technology solutions and third-party vendors.
  • Manage relationships with external suppliers to ensure agreed deliverables, timescales and project objectives are achieved.
  • Coordinate integrations between new and existing business systems.
  • Oversee data migration activities, system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT) and cutover planning.
  • Ensure effective contingency planning and minimise operational disruption throughout the transition.
  • Maintain project governance documentation including RAID logs, risk registers, budgets and status reports.
  • Facilitate project meetings and steering groups, providing regular progress updates to key stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Work collaboratively across multiple business functions including Technology, Finance, Operations and Commercial teams.
  • Support successful go-live, stabilisation activities and post-implementation review.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
