Job Title: IT Recruitment Consultant
SmartChoice are seeking a driven IT Recruitment Consultant to focus exclusively on acquiring new clients and generating new business opportunities. This is a sales-focused role centred on securing new logo accounts, building relationships with hiring managers, and creating recruitment opportunities across the IT sector both here in the UK and across Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, target, and win new client accounts within the IT and technology market.
- Generate leads through proactive business development, networking, referrals, LinkedIn outreach, email campaigns, and cold calling.
- Engage with decision-makers including Hiring Managers, IT Directors, Heads of Technology, and Procurement teams.
- Arrange and conduct client meetings to understand hiring needs and workforce challenges.
- Negotiate terms of business, rates, and service agreements.
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients and opportunities.
- Work closely with delivery and recruitment teams to transition newly secured accounts.
- Consistently achieve and exceed new business revenue and activity targets.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts.

- Previous experience in contract IT recruitment.
- Strong new business development and client acquisition skills.
- Confident communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Highly self-motivated, resilient, and target-driven.
- Ability to identify opportunities and convert prospects into long-term clients.
