The Opportunity

We're working with a well-established, global ITSM specialist to find an experienced Sales Executive to join their team. Trusted by clients worldwide for over 40 years, our client helps organisations strengthen their day-to-day IT operations through training, consultancy, managed IT support and ITSM technology, backed by a global 24/7 Service Centre.

This is a predominantly new-business role, focused on identifying, developing and winning new clients within Managed IT Services — ideally covering outsourced Service Desk, IT Support, End User Support or related services.

The Role

You'll build and manage your own qualified pipeline, develop relationships with key decision-makers, and own the full sales cycle from prospecting and discovery through to proposal, negotiation and close. You'll take a consultative approach, understanding clients' operational challenges and positioning our client's services as a genuine extension of their IT operation.

After winning and onboarding a new client, you'll retain the commercial relationship, develop the account, and identify opportunities for further growth — though new-business generation remains the primary focus of the role. You'll work closely with technical, consultancy and service delivery teams to develop suitable solutions and build lasting client relationships.

What You'll Be Doing

New Business Development

  • Win new clients through structured outbound prospecting, targeted campaigns, networking, referrals and partner engagement
  • Build and maintain a personal pipeline of qualified Managed IT Services opportunities sufficient to achieve agreed new-business and revenue targets
  • Research and prioritise UK mid-market and enterprise organisations that fit the services on offer
  • Originate opportunities proactively rather than relying mainly on inbound leads or existing accounts
  • Engage senior decisionmakers across IT, Operations, Procurement and executive leadership
  • Lead discovery to understand operational challenges, service requirements, commercial priorities and buying criteria
  • Position outsourced Service Desk, IT Support and related Managed IT Services against client needs
  • Develop proposals, presentations and commercial solutions with technical, consultancy and service delivery colleagues
  • Own the sales cycle through qualification, proposal, negotiation and close, then coordinate onboarding and handover to service delivery
  • Maintain clear next steps, accurate CRM records, disciplined follow-up and reliable forecasts
  • Develop technology and channel partner relationships that support new-business opportunities

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
