Are you looking to build your career in IT Security?
We're working with an organisation looking for an IT Security Analyst to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone with around 1–2 years' experience in IT, Information Security, Cyber Security or a related area who is keen to develop their career.
You don't need to be a highly technical security specialist. They're looking for someone who understands the importance of security, controls, compliance and good governance, has excellent attention to detail and, most importantly, has the right attitude and willingness to learn.
What you'll be doing
You'll support the organisation's IT Security and governance activities, helping to make sure applications, systems and assets are properly documented, reviewed and managed.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting IT security and governance processes across the organisation
- Reviewing application and asset information to identify gaps or missing information
- Monitoring security reviews, documentation and actions
- Following up with IT teams and application owners to obtain information and close outstanding actions
- Supporting risk, compliance and control activities
- Maintaining dashboards, action logs and management information
- Identifying and escalating risks, gaps and overdue actions
- Supporting application lifecycle activities, including onboarding, changes and decommissioning
- Developing your knowledge of areas such as Cloud and AI Governance
- Supporting the organisation's wider IT governance and security requirements

What we're looking for
We're interested in people who have around 1–2 years' experience in an IT, Information Security, Cyber Security, IT Risk, IT Controls, GRC or similar environment.
You'll ideally have:
- An understanding of IT security and why security controls are important
- Some exposure to risk, compliance, governance, audit or control processes
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence working with different stakeholders and following up actions
- Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- The ability to work independently and know when to escalate an issue

Experience with ISO 27001, ITIL, IT governance, security reviews or audit would be useful, but isn't essential.
We're not looking for someone who can configure firewalls, build SIEMs or be a hands-on cyber security engineer.
We're looking for someone who has a good understanding of IT security, is organised, curious and willing to learn, and who can work with IT teams to make sure security and governance requirements are being followed.
