We are working with a leading City law firm that is looking to recruit a Technology Support Advisor to join its busy and highly regarded Technology team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with Service Desk or IT Support experience who enjoys providing a high level of customer service and taking ownership of technical issues through to resolution.
The role
You will provide first-line technical support to users across the firm, dealing with a broad range of hardware, software, network and application-related issues. Responsibilities will include:
- Providing first-line IT support via phone, email, chat and in person
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical incidents, escalating where appropriate
- Logging and managing incidents and requests through the service desk system
- Building, configuring and deploying laptops, computers, mobile devices and peripherals
- Supporting Windows, Microsoft 365 and other business applications
- Maintaining accurate technical documentation and knowledgebase information
- Assisting with IT equipment and asset management
- Supporting wider Technology projects and initiatives
- Identifying recurring issues and contributing to improvements across the Service Desk

The position sits within a broad Technology function covering areas including service delivery, business systems, security, engineering, eDiscovery and information security.
We are keen to hear from candidates who have:
- A minimum of 1 year's experience in a Service Desk or IT Support role
- Experience gained within a law firm, financial services or professional services environment
- Good knowledge of Windows and Microsoft 365
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems
- Excellent communication skills and confidence supporting users at all levels
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and a genuine commitment to providing excellent service
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to take ownership of issues

Experience supporting legal applications would be advantageous, while ITIL, CompTIA or Microsoft/Azure certifications are also desirable.
