Role: Site Supervisor - Hyperscale Data Centre Connectivity - UK
Location: UK based / European travel
Employment: Permanent
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 + Package
We are working with a specialist data centre connectivity business delivering high-performance fibre and physical network infrastructure across major hyperscale facilities throughout Europe.
They are looking for an experienced Site Supervisor to take ownership of day-to-day connectivity installation activities across a growing portfolio of European data centre projects.
This is a hands-on site leadership role. You'll be managing installation teams while remaining technically close to the work, ensuring fibre and structured cabling infrastructure is installed, tested, and commissioned correctly.
What you'll be doing
- Leading engineers and subcontractors delivering physical network infrastructure within hyperscale data centres
- Coordinating daily installation activities, work fronts, labour, and priorities
- Overseeing fibre and structured cabling installation, routing, patching, and testing
- Managing cable routes, containment, and high-level access requirements
- Carrying out and overseeing fibre splicing and testing, including ILM and OTDR
- Ensuring installations meet client quality and technical standards
- Managing testing documentation and ensuring results are correctly recorded and submitted
- Providing daily progress updates to the Project Manager
- Identifying installation issues, risks, and resource requirements before they impact programme
- Coordinating site materials and logistics
- Ensuring RAMS and safe systems of work are understood and followed
- Maintaining strong relationships with client representatives and other site stakeholders
- Supporting commissioning, snagging, and project handover

- Hyperscale data centre experience is essential
- Strong hands-on background within fibre optic and structured cabling infrastructure
- Previous experience supervising installation engineers and subcontractors
- Strong knowledge of single-mode and multi-mode fibre
- Experience with ILM and OTDR testing
- Ability to interpret connectivity drawings, patching schedules, and RAMS
- Understanding of containment, cable routing, and data centre installation environments
- Strong site leadership and client-facing skills
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout Europe on a 3/1 rotation
Highly desirable
- Experience working on AI-ready physical network infrastructure, including GPU connectivity, high-density racks, high-count fibre deployments, or spine-leaf architectures.
