IT Support Analyst – Asset Management

Location: London
Working Pattern: Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days remote
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

The Opportunity

Our client, a highly regarded asset management firm based in London, is looking to hire an experienced and personable IT Support Analyst to join their technology team.

You will provide hands-on 1st and 2nd line IT support, working across a predominantly Microsoft environment and supporting users across the business, from day-to-day desktop issues through to Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, Intune and SharePoint.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality 1st and 2nd line IT support to users across the firm.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, desktop and connectivity issues.
  • Support and troubleshoot Windows 11 desktops and laptops.
  • Provide day-to-day support across Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive and Office applications.
  • Administer and troubleshoot Azure / Microsoft Entra ID, including user accounts, authentication and access.
  • Manage users, groups, permissions and policies within Active Directory.
  • Support SharePoint Online, including sites, permissions and document access.
  • Manage and support devices through Microsoft Intune, including deployment, configuration, compliance and troubleshooting.
  • Support laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers and other IT equipment.
  • Manage user onboarding and offboarding, including account provisioning and equipment allocation.
  • Troubleshoot VPN, networking, Microsoft Teams, Outlook and other business-critical applications.
  • Log, manage and prioritise incidents and service requests through the firm's ITSM platform.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to the appropriate infrastructure, security or application teams.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and knowledge-base articles.
  • Assist with software deployment, patching, endpoint management and security initiatives.
  • Contribute to IT projects and ongoing improvements across the firm's technology environment.
  • Ensure all support activity meets the firm's security, compliance and confidentiality requirements.

About You

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in an IT Support Analyst, Desktop Support or 1st/2nd Line Support position.
  • Strong practical experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Windows 11.
  • Good knowledge of Active Directory and Entra ID.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune and modern endpoint management.
  • Experience supporting SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A professional, proactive and service-focused approach.
  • The ability to prioritise and manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and an understanding of the importance of security and confidentiality.
  • Experience within asset management, investment management, banking, financial services or another professional-services environment would be advantageous.
  • Bloomberg experience would be a significant plus.
