Overview
Our client is a growing IT consultancy and managed services provider supporting organisations across the UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the United States. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an ambitious IT Support Engineer to join the team.
This role is ideal for someone with Level 1 and Level 2 support experience who is passionate about technology and wants the opportunity to develop their skills across Microsoft 365, infrastructure, endpoint management, security and IT operations.
Unlike traditional support roles, this position offers significant scope for progression and the opportunity to take ownership of projects, contribute to IT strategy and develop technical expertise across multiple technologies.
Responsibilities:
End User Support
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 IT support to users across multiple client environments.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software and device issues.
- Support Microsoft 365 applications and services.
- Resolve user queries relating to email, Teams, SharePoint and collaboration tools.
- Support laptop and workstation deployments.
Microsoft 365 Administration
- Create and manage user accounts.
- Administer Microsoft 365 tenants.
- Support Entra ID administration.
- Assist with device management via Microsoft Intune.
- Support Teams and SharePoint administration.
- Assist with security and compliance activities.

Endpoint & Device Management
- Build and configure laptops and end-user devices.
- Deploy and maintain Intune device configurations.
- Support security baselines and endpoint security controls.
- Assist with attack surface reduction policies.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and configurations.
- Proactively investigate potential issues rather than simply responding to tickets.
- Contribute ideas and recommendations to improve client environments.
- Support documentation, policies and operational procedures.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in an IT Support Engineer, Service Desk Analyst or Desktop Support role.
- Strong Microsoft 365 knowledge.
- Experience supporting:
- Microsoft Entra ID
- Intune
- Teams
- SharePoint
- Microsoft Admin Centre
- Experience provisioning and supporting Windows devices.
- Knowledge of device lifecycle management.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Experience working in a remote support environment.
Demonstratable skills:
- Experience supporting Apple Mac devices.
- Exposure to Microsoft security administration.
- Knowledge of:
- Security Baselines
- Endpoint Security
- Attack Surface Reduction policies
- Conditional Access
- Experience working within an MSP or consultancy environment.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications including:
- MD-102
- MS-102
- IT-related degree or formal technical qualification.

Working Arrangements
- Predominantly remote working.
- Occasional travel to London client sites.

- Travel expenses covered when visiting client locations.
