Main purpose of the job
You will play a key role within the Crusade Technical Team, working from our office to deliver support and technical services to customers located nationwide, as well as across international regions.
You will be working on a variety of operating systems and hardware. This role will involve working on projects and support tickets for our customers. The post holder will promote the highest customer service standards, ensuring the most effective use of resources.

This role will approximately be a 50/50 split between onsite work and our office, there will also be a requirement for some out-of-hours work when necessary.
Duties
- Working within a team dedicated to supporting Microsoft desktop and server operating systems including hardware.
- Dealing with technical incidents and requests from our customers.
- Escalation from other Engineers.
- Professionally support all customers.
- Respond effectively and appropriately to all customer requests and enquiries.
- Complete work to agreed timescales.
Skills
Experienced in performing initial configuration and providing ongoing support across:
- WatchGuard Technologies
- Microsoft Windows
- Microsoft Windows Server
- Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and Group Policy
- Microsoft 365 (Entra, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, Intune)
- Cloud hosting platforms: Azure and AWS
- Virtualization technologies: Hyper-V and VMware
- Network management: TCP/IP, Layer 3 routing, VLANs, WAN
- Backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Email filtering platforms
- Wireless technologies
- Endpoint Security
- Emails Branding
- Network Cabling
- Web-based CMS
- Apple Mac

What working characteristics should this person have
- 3+ years’ experience in IT engineer or similar role.
- Willingness to learn new technologies.
- Experience in a customer-facing role with an attitude to match.
- Enthusiastic about technology.
- Ability to speak in plain language to stakeholders across all levels of an organisation.
- Can demonstrate sound judgement to undertake complex tasks.
- Able to deal with issues calmly when under pressure.
- Demonstrates a variety of people skills.
- Ability to establish positive and productive working relationships.
- Effectively engage and communicate with others.
- Always remain approachable and professional.
- Able to work flexibly, including responding to high-level service issues outside of core hours.
- Able to travel to various locations within a reasonable timescale to support the requirements of the company.
- Applicant must hold a valid Clean UK Driving licence and have the ability to use own vehicle for work purposes (desirable).
