IT Support Engineer (1st/2nd Line)
📍 Southwark, London - 5 days On-Site
We're partnering with an established international organisation to recruit an IT Support Engineer to join their London team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2+ years' IT support experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, user-focused environment with exposure to global infrastructure and teams.
What you'll be doing:
- Providing 1st and 2nd line technical support to local and remote users.
- Installing, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting Windows and Mac hardware/software.
- Supporting desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals and mobile devices.
- Managing and maintaining servers, email, print and backup services.
- Supporting LAN, WAN and VPN connectivity while collaborating with international IT teams.
- Working closely with vendors to resolve technical issues and improve infrastructure.
- Managing incidents through the ITSM platform and ensuring agreed service levels are met.
- Analysing recurring issues, identifying trends and implementing long-term improvements.
- Assisting with system upgrades, software deployments and hardware refreshes.
- Participating in an on-call rota covering evenings, weekends and holidays when required.
- Promoting IT security best practices to protect company systems and data.

We're looking for:
- 2+ years' experience in a 1st/2nd Line IT Support role.
- Experience supporting users across multiple locations or international offices is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio and SharePoint.
- Experience installing, configuring and repairing PCs, Macs and printer hardware.
- Knowledge of Dell and Lenovo hardware.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing and WAN technologies.
- Experience supporting remote users and VPN connectivity.
- Exposure to Citrix, Terminal Services or VMware environments would be advantageous.
- CompTIA A+, Network+ or similar certifications are desirable.
