IT Support Engineer (1st / 2nd Line)

Yolk Recruitment is supporting a growing organisation with the recruitment of an IT Support Engineer to join its internal IT team.

This is a hands-on 1st and 2nd line role supporting users across a multi-site environment.

You’ll take ownership of incidents from initial triage through to resolution, working across Microsoft 365, Active Directory / Entra ID, endpoint security and general desktop support.

What you’ll be doing

  • Providing 1st and 2nd line support across desktops, laptops, mobiles, printers and peripherals
  • Managing and resolving support tickets in line with SLAs
  • Supporting Microsoft 365 including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint
  • Managing users and access through Active Directory / Entra ID
  • Supporting MFA, Conditional Access and Microsoft Defender
  • Deploying and managing devices through Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager
  • Supporting joiners, movers and leavers
  • Assisting with patching, vulnerability remediation and endpoint security
  • Supporting IT asset, licence and subscription management
  • Troubleshooting basic networking and connectivity issues
  • Maintaining IT documentation and knowledge base articles

What you'll bring

  • You’ll have previous experience within an IT Support, Helpdesk or Desktop Support position, alongside:
  • Strong Windows desktop support experience
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365
  • Experience with Active Directory / Entra ID
  • Exposure to Microsoft Defender / Advanced Threat Protection
  • Basic networking knowledge
  • Experience supporting remote or multi-site users
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

Experience with Microsoft Intune, Azure, Dynamics 365 Business Central, Power Platform, Paxton, Time & Attendance systems or Splicecom PBX would be advantageous, but isn’t essential.
