π§ IT Support Engineer β Salisbury, UK (Part-Time / Ad-Hoc)
Commitment: Engineer required to cover the customers Salisbury office with potential visits to London office too - 2 days per week, Tuesday & Wednesdays or Tuesdays & Thursdays. They need the same person to provide support for a plus minus 6-week window.
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and hands-on IT Support Engineer to provide on-site support in Salisbury, UK. This is a flexible engagement combining a scheduled weekly 2 day on-site with ad-hoc reactive support for incidents that require a fast local response.
If you're a proactive troubleshooter who's comfortable working independently, enjoys variety in your day-to-day, and can jump in when something unexpected comes up β we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing
- Manage and resolve help desk tickets (hardware, software, network, printing)
- Support Windows & MacOS desktops/laptops, plus mobile devices (iOS/Android)
- Administer O365 (Azure AD, Exchange, SharePoint) and Active Directory
- Perform OS imaging, system checks, and software deployments
- Provide onsite support in Salisbury (2x/week) + occasional travel
- Escalate complex issues to IT Manager; collaborate with Level I/III teams
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in IT support, helpdesk, or field engineering roles
- Solid understanding of end-user hardware, software, and basic networking (LAN/Wi-Fi troubleshooting, connectivity checks)
- Comfortable working independently and prioritizing tasks with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills β able to liaise clearly with remote teams and stakeholders
- A proactive, "smart hands" mindset β willing to support both routine and unexpected IT needs
