Role: IT Support Engineer

Location: Chester, UK – Hybrid (50% onsite)
Contract: Inside IR35
Language: German – Mandatory

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to provide technical support to end users in a hybrid environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, applications, and connectivity issues while ensuring incidents and requests are resolved within agreed service levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 1/Level 2 IT support to end users.
  • Troubleshoot Windows, Microsoft 365, laptops, desktops, printers, and peripherals.
  • Support Active Directory, user accounts, password resets, and access issues.
  • Troubleshoot VPN, network, email, and connectivity problems.
  • Log, update, and manage incidents and service requests using ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, or Remedy.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to the appropriate support teams.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, solutions, and knowledge articles.
  • Provide professional and timely support to users in English and German.

  • 3+ years of experience in IT Support / Service Desk.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Good knowledge of Windows and Microsoft 365.
  • Experience with Active Directory, VPN, networking, printers, and hardware/software troubleshooting.
  • Experience working with an ITSM/ticketing tool.
  • German language is mandatory.
  • Good English communication skills.
  • Willingness to work 50% onsite in Chester, UK.
