IT Support Specialist

Location: London (On-site – 5 days per week)

Working Hours: 14:00 – 22:00 (late support, covering evening events)

Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum

Role Overview

Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking a proactive and customer-focused IT Support Specialist to provide hands-on, on-site technical support to their busy London office, working a late shift (14:00 – 22:00) to ensure seamless coverage across the firm's afternoon and evening operations.

Reporting to the Regional Head of IT, you will be the go-to point of contact for end-user support during these hours, keeping fee earners and business services staff productive and ensuring the smooth technical running of client meetings, events, and evening functions. This is a highly visible role suited to someone who combines strong technical ability with excellent people skills and a genuine service-first mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide responsive first- and second-line on-site support to lawyers, business services staff, and visitors across desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues, escalating where appropriate and tracking through to resolution.
  • Support the smooth running of meetings, client events, and evening functions, including audio-visual (AV), video-conferencing (VC), and presentation setups.
  • Act as a key point of contact during the firm's late-support hours, ensuring continuous coverage of the London office.
  • Log, prioritise, and manage incidents and service requests through the IT service management toolset, ensuring SLAs are met.
  • Set up, configure, and deploy end-user hardware and software, including new-starter provisioning and device refreshes.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access in line with the firm's security and compliance policies (e.g. Active Directory, Microsoft 365).
  • Maintain accurate documentation, knowledge-base articles, and asset records.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of support processes and the overall end-user experience.
  • Provide support to other regional offices and out-of-hours cover where required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
