An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior IT Support professional to join an established IT department within a global organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at the beginning of their IT career who is looking to develop their technical skills across a broad range of systems and technologies while providing first and second-line support to users.

🔧 What you'll be doing

  • Providing first and second-line IT support to users.
  • Responding to and resolving IT incidents and service requests.
  • Installing, configuring and maintaining desktops, laptops, virtual machines, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Installing and troubleshooting Windows operating systems and business applications.
  • Supporting user account administration and access requests.
  • Providing remote support using remote access tools.
  • Monitoring device performance and reliability.
  • Maintaining IT asset records and technical documentation.
  • Assisting with hardware deployments and equipment replacements.
  • Escalating infrastructure and more complex technical issues where appropriate.
  • Ensuring IT and Cyber Security procedures are followed.
  • Liaising with external vendors and suppliers.
  • Supporting wider IT projects as required.

👤 What we're looking for

  • Ideally, you'll have:
    • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relevant IT qualification/apprenticeship – desirable.
    • Previous experience within an IT Support, Helpdesk, or Service Desk environment – preferred.
    • Good knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11.
    • Basic Active Directory user administration experience.
    • Experience supporting desktop and laptop hardware.
    • Knowledge of printers and peripheral devices.
    • Basic networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN connectivity, and wired/wireless troubleshooting.
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and customer support skills.
