IT Team Leader
Perceptive Discovery | Hammersmith, West London
Are you an experienced IT professional looking for a leadership opportunity?
At Perceptive Discovery, we're looking for a technically capable and ambitious IT specialist who's ready to step up, take ownership and develop their leadership skills within a small but highly specialised, collaborative and supportive environment.
Our technology plays a vital role in supporting world-class radiopharmaceutical production, clinical trial imaging and preclinical research which helps bring new medicines to patients faster. If you're passionate about technology and excited by the idea of leading a team while continuing to develop your own career, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting and mentoring a small onsite IT team, with coaching and guidance to develop your leadership and management skills
- Taking ownership of IT projects, working closely with colleagues onsite and with our US operation
- Helping ensure our critical IT systems remain secure, reliable and fit for purpose
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business
- Contributing ideas that improve services, reduce risk and enhance user experience
- Remaining hands-on with technology while broadening your leadership responsibilities

What we're looking for
- A strong IT infrastructure or support background
- Experience with technologies such as Microsoft 365, networking, virtualisation (VMware/Hyper-V), cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), and backup solutions
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive approach, with the confidence to take ownership and drive improvements
- Experience working in regulated environments is advantageous, but not essential
- Previous line management experience is welcome, but we're equally interested in individuals with the ambition and potential to move into leadership for the first time.
